These take place 3 or 4 times a month when a members will introduce a different item or technique often with a challenge for others to have a ‘go’ at home. Usually there is a “Show and Tell’ when members bring in an item they have turned at home.

Once a month is a “Hands-on” day when all the lathes are set up for members to turn an item. Our more experienced members will mentor our newer turners while others observe.

We offer regular training sessions for new members.  The sessions consist of eight modules that cover the basics of woodturning from safety through to ‘finishing’.  The classes are held on Wednesday evenings.

Quarterly we have a general meeting often followed by a general interest talk or activity. Often we have a “Show and Tell’ for members to present an item they have turned at home.
